Immigration Reform: GOP Senators Avoid Bipartisan Bill
Wanted: a Republican Senator willing toTime is what you make of it
reach across the aisle and work with Democrats and the Obama Administration on a bipartisan bill on
immigration reform that's never having to say you're sorryalready half done. The Democrats have been scrambling to find such a brave soul since Republican Senator Lindsey
Graham left the talks afterThere is no crying Dems shelved an energy bill he'd been working on. Democratic negotiators Chuck Schumer of New York, Bob
Menendez of New Jersey and friends or enemiesSenate Majority Leader Harry Reid have even unveiled the bones of the bill they'd hammered out with Graham in
hopes of luring another Republican on board. "What [Republicans] said before the Democrats produced the framework was that they need to
see the paper," says Frank Sharry,There's no place like home director of America's Voice, an immigration advocacy group. "Now that they've seen the paper, they seem to
be finding other reasons not to sign on."Of the 23 Senate Republicans who voted for immigration reform in 2006, five have since lost their seats,
six have retired, one switched parties and four more are retiring this year. Meanwhile, Bob Bennett of Utah just saw his nomination as GOP
candidate upended by the state's Tea Party, and John McCain of Arizona is facing the toughest Senate race of his career. In fact, many in the
immigration world believe that Graham walked away from the negotiating table in part to protect his dear friend McCain, who can ill afford a
partisan brawl on immigration. The fact that McCain co-authored and voted for the comprehensive reform bill in 2006 is what got him into such
hot water with Arizona Republican primary voters in the first place. (See pictures of immigration detention in Arizona.)So immigration groups are
left wooing retiring Republicans Senators George Voinovich of Ohio and Judd Gregg of New Hampshire. They're also working on the two
moderate Senators from Maine and Alaska's Lisa Murkowski: all three voted for the 2006 bill. President Obama called Republican Senators Scott
Brown, Richard Lugar, George LeMieux (a Florida Republican who is finishing Mel Martinez's term until Sunshine State voters pick a permanent
replacement), Murkowski and Gregg from Air Force One last month - but so far no one has signed on. "Although Senator Gregg is interested in
fixing our broken immigration system and especially encouraging talented people to come here legally, he does not support any initiative http://forum.jswelt.de

But there's a catch. Sales arewho is falling in love with my smile forecast to rise in part because of another anticipated wave of foreclosures. That will keep prices from rising — and consumers from spending freely. Surging home equity spurred spending during the housing boom of the last decade.
"Our houses are no longer cashStray birds of summer come to my window machines," says Allen Sinai, chief economist at Decision Economics, who took part in the AP survey.
By keeping interest rates at record lows, the Fed intends to encourage people and companies to spend more and invigorate First need your hand and forever can beginthe recovery. But anxiety over unemployment, and a reluctance or inability to borrow, will also restrain consumer spending, economists say.
"We're not going toI am your sunflower and you are my sunshine see any irrational exuberance from consumers this year," says Joel Naroff, president of Naroff Economic Advisors, another survey participant.Like many Americans, Michaela O'Brien of Northampton, Mass., is trying to cope with personal damage from the worst recession since the 1930s. O'Brien's husband, Nathaniel Reade, 51, lost hisdreams will keep me young job two years ago as a magazine editor. Since then, they've seen the value of their home slip. So they're spending less.Gone are the health club memberships, ski passes and camp for their two children. "We mostly cut back on what people would consider frivolous things," O'Brien says. She gets around in a 2000 Toyota Corolla, her husband in a 13-year old Subaru."We hope we don't have to buy a car anytime soon," says O'Brien, 49, a self-employed publicist. Still, she says they are fortunate because they're able to pay their mortgage.Economists say it may take until at least the middle of the decade for home values to begin rising normally again. The biggest asset for many Americans, homes have appreciated an average 4 percent a year since World War II, economists say.
National house prices have never remained flat while the economy was growing, says Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody's Analytics, which reviewed data going back to 1969. Adjusted for inflation, however, home prices were essentially flat throughout the 1980s and the first half of the 1990s, says Zandi, who also took part in the survey. The recession wiped out 8.2 million jobs. Zandi and other economists had previously forecast that unemployment, which reached 10.1 percent in October, would peak at 11 percent this year. Zandi now expects joblessness to climb again from the current 9.7 percent and reach 10.2 percent by December. That's because many people who have quit looking for work and aren't counted as unemployed will start looking again and because job creation will remain weak.
Employers have begun to add jobs recently, including 162,000 in March. Economists surveyed foresee additional job creation over the next three months, but not enough to reduce the unemployment rate significantly. They predict job gains of roughly 200,000 in April, 250,000 in May and 125,000 in June. About 125,000 new jobs are needed each month just to keep up with population growth and prevent the unemployment rate from rising. To reduce the jobless rate significantly, employers would need to consistently add 200,000 to 300,000 a month.
"The labor market is the scar left over from the economic trauma that we've been through," says Sean Snaith, economics professor at the University of Central Florida, who took part in the survey. "It will be slow to fade."
Ann DeRoo, 40, of Fairfield, Ohio, began digging into savings to pay home and car loans after her husband was laid off from a trucking job earlier this year. DeRoo, who has three children, has also put off buying new clothes or shoes. Her son, who graduates from college in June, may have to move back home if he can't find a job.http://www.benm.at/forum

AP survey: Recovery to remain sluggish into 2011
WASHINGTON – TheA Midsummer Night's Dream pillars of Americans' financial security — jobs and home values — will stay shaky well into 2011, according to an Associated Press survey of leading economists. The findings of the new AP Economy Survey, released Monday, point to an economic recovery that will move slowly and fitfully this year and next. As a result, the Federal Reserve will be forced tosoftware homework keep interest rates near zero until at least the final quarter of this year, three-fourths of the economists said. The new AP survey, which will be conducted quarterly, compilesok, it is yours now forecasts of leading private, corporate and academic economists on a range of indicators, including employment, home prices and inflation. Among the first survey's key findings:?something about skill The unemployment rate will stay stubbornly high the next two years.software It will inch down to 9.3 percent by the end of this year and to 8.4 percent by the end of 2011. The rate has bee 9.7 percent since January. When the recession started in December 2007, unemployment was 5 percent.? Home prices will remain almost flat for the next two years, even after plunging an average 30 percent nationally since their peak in 2006. The economists forecast no rise this year and a 2.3 percent gain next year.
? The economy will grow 3 percent this year, which is less than usual during the early phase of a recovery and the reason unemployment will stay high. It takes growth of 5 percent for a year to lower the jobless rate by 1 percentage point, economists say.
The economy began growing again last summer, 18 months after the recession started. To keep the recovery on track, the soonest the Federal Reserve will begin raising short-term interest rates is the fourth quarter, 34 of the 44 economists surveyed told the AP.
Those continued low rates will help stimulate home sales.
Economists think sales of previously occupied homes, the biggest chunk of the market, will tick up to 5.4 million this year and to 5.9 million in 2011. That would mark continued improvement from the low of 4.9 million in 2008 and be in line with sales in a healthy economy.http://www.poetrywars.com/forum

Muslims
Arab potter. Twenty complete or fragmentary lustreware vessels signed by Muslim are known. A fragmentary plate with birds in a floral scroll (Athens, Benaki Mus., 11122) is inscribed on the rim '[the work of] Muslim ibn al-Dahhan to please ... Hassan Iqbal al-Hakimi'. Although the patron has not been identified, his epithet al-Hakimi suggests that he was a courtier of the Fatimid caliph al-Hakim (reg 996-1021). The other pieces, bowls or bases from them, are decorated with animals, birds, interlaced bands, inscriptions and floral motifs. One complete bowl (New York, Met., 63.178.1) shows a heraldic eagle, a second (Cairo, Mus. Islam. A., 14930) has a central griffin surrounded by palmettes, and a third (Cairo, Mus. Islam. A., 15958) has a design of four white leaves surrounded by an inscription in kufic offering good wishes. Muslim also countersigned objects made by other potters and may have been the master of an important workshop. His work represents the zenith in the animal, floral and abstract decoration of Egyptian lustrewares of the Fatimid period (969-1171), for after him Fatimid potters increasingly depicted figural subjects
Violence
More than 30 people were arrested today after disorder broke out during a demonstration billed as a protest against Islamic fundamentalism.
A total of 31 people were detained in Birmingham city centre during the event, which is believed to have been organised on social networking sites.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said the arrests were made at various locations during the protest and a counter-demonstration organised by the Unite Against Fascism group.
Muslim death threats to 'westerners'
The UK Race Industry has been 'deafeningly silent' over a leading Muslim's leaders appeal to kill westerners.
A Muslim leader with thousands of followers and supporters dumped in England by 'immigration' and the brown race's asylum scheme has "vowed in a new video message to kill more Westerners to avenge 'crimes' ".
Suspected brown supremacist Ayman al-Zawahiri dedicated his new video message, released Sunday, to Al-Qaeda operative Sheiky Ibn al-Sheiky al-Libi,aka the 'Shaky Libyan', who died in a Libyan prison earlier this year.
Negroes are not spared from the Asian's anti-western race hate message, making the UK Race Industry's silence even more inexplicable:
“The United States is deceiving us with the smiling Obama, who is searching for peace and defending human rights Zawahiri said of the African President of the US Barack Obama.
“Oh criminal killers, bloodsuckers,” Zawahiri is quoted as saying. “We will shed your blood and consume your economy until you stop your crimes, oh arrogant insolents. “Oh blood shedders, killers of innocent people,” he continued. “God willing, we will take revenge on you for every mujahid, every widow, every orphan, and every Muslim, and we will defend everyone you oppressed in this world.
The video was released by Al-Qaeda’s Al-Sahab production company.
Why is the race Industry silent when asia's brown supremacists spew out their message of anti-white hatred?

Saudi arrested for heterosexual activity.
A man has been arrested accused of violating Sharia law not only by having premarital sex, but also by publicising it, a warning of what is in store when the 'British Muslim' majority turn England into their third world vision of paradise.
"The Summary Court here will issue its verdict on the case of the Saudi sex bragger Mazen Abdul Jawad and his three accomplices ".
"Judge Muhammad Amin asked the suspects to repent for publicising vice" when Abdul Jawad appeared on Lebanese Broadcasting Channel's (LBC) “Bold Red Line” weekly programme talking explicitly about his specially kitted out 'shag pad' and his consensual heterosexual encounters with women. The three unnamed men who have also been detained and charged appeared on the programme though they did not speak.
Death penalty pending?

Islam's Idea
A Danish newspaper, Jyllands-Posten, published 12 cartoons of the 'Prophet' Muhammad in September 2005. This seemingly innocuous decision preceded worldwide protests, death threats, trade boycotts and attacks on Danish embassies and a largedeath toll chiefly among the islamites themselves.
An outstanding scholarly account of these events is published this week, entitled The Cartoons that Shook the World by Jytte Klausen, a Danish academic in the US. Klausen dissects the motives of the main actors and illuminates debates over free speech and the place of religion in asian-colonised Western societies.
“We believe freedom of the press entails responsibility and discretion, and should respect the beliefs and tenets of all religions,” was thecraven appeasement and surrender by the United Nations after Danish diplomatic missions were torched.
The idea that people’s beliefs, merely by being deeply held, merit respect is grotesque. 'Western' society is based on freedom of speech and thought: it has no interest in its citizens’ feelings.
If it sought to protect sensibilities, there would be no limit to the abridgements of freedom that the principle would justify.
One of the odd things about the Muslim response to the cartoons was that the vast majority of Muslims worldwide never even saw the cartoons!!!
These Muslim maniacs rioted, assaulted and committed arson upon our people without even knowing the reason they were going bonkers!
Why is this? because Islam is a military system of people control. All that it took to get the Muslims rioting was for the hairy-faced Imams to screech that Mohammad and Islam had been insulted. The Muslims didn't need to know what the alleged insult was, all they needed was for the Imams to tell them to go berserk, which they do obligingly because it is "pleasing to Allah".
Nothing gets a Muslim more interested in killing, raping, burning or looting than does the idea that they can pave their way into Paradise in this way because it is "pleasing to Allah". But in fact, what is pleasing to Allah is that these Muslim assholes be deported to Arabia so they can properly pray to their desert god where the burning sands will keep them hopping.
